SCOUTS AND GUIDES OF THE VIDYALAYA
SCOUTING IN OUR VIDYALAYA
The Scouting & Guiding is a world-wide organization stressing on universal brotherhood/ sisterhood. Lord Baden Powel is the founder of the organization. The movement has a three tier system of advancing.
1. Cubs + Bulbuls
2.Scouts + Guides
A student who completes 7 years of age, can be enrolled as Cub/Bulbul. A student who completes 10 years, can be enrolled as Scout/Guide. Continuous hard work and perseverance of 4 years can take them to the heights of Rashtrapathi Scout/Guide. One day in a week is kept for Scout/Guide activities and services. The gray shirt and blue pant, white salwar and kamiz are compulsory uniforms. It is an educational and service motivated movement based on open air activities, hiking, trekking and play way methods. They become good leaders, good followers as well as true citizens of our country. They ever remain physically fit, mentally awake and morally upright. A permanent Venture Corner is prepared in the Vidyalaya.

GAMES AT SCHOOL LEVEL
Our Vidyalaya is aiming at the all-round development of the children. So the students are given ample opportunities to participate in various activities like Sports and Games, Art etc.
The whole students of the Vidyalaya are divided into four equal groups. Apart from House Captains each house is having a Sports Secretary who will take initiative to find out the best Sports children in their house.
Selection trials were conducted during the games period to prepare the Vidyalaya teams and the students were given special coaching in Table Tennis, Chess, Shuttle Badminton, Basketball, Kabadi, Kho-Kho and Athletics by the PET and in football & Volleyball by the Coach during the games period and after the school hours.
